Welcome to another Sibling Storytime! We hope you loved reading our previous story about Kaka the crocodile and his friends: Kaka’s Best Friend. Here’s a peek behind the scenes of how this story was made.

Many siblings of kids with medical needs know the feeling of wanting to fix things for their sibling, and realizing that “fixing the problem” is not always what’s needed.

In this story, Kaka wants to help Sasa, his sick friend, get better, and cheer her up with toys and treats. By the end, Kaka learns that showing up matters more than what you bring. 

We hope Kaka and Sasa’s story reminds siblings everywhere that sometimes the best thing you can offer someone isn’t always an item. It’s just you, sitting beside them, letting them know that you’re there.
